So we started making kefir water last month. It seems to be going well. Still looking to experiment with some different sugars and flavors but we have created one staple flavor and have an experimental flavor that turned out well that I want to share.
Cream Soda
1 liter of water kefir
1 T agave nectar
1/2 t real vanilla extract
Combine and store in an air tight container in the pantry or refrigerator.
Blood Orange
1 liter of water
1 t local honey
juice of three blood oranges
Combine and store in an air tight container in the pantry or refrigerator.
So easy and so good!
Enjoy!

You make the most interesting things. The color of your flavored one is wonderful. I bet it tastes great.
Thanks! I need to get something posted, just been out of sorts.
I haven’t been able to find agave nectar, I keep looking, hopeful it will find it way to local markets. Maybe it has & I’m not looking in the right place.
Hi Nadine, do you have access to a wear house store, like Sam’s Club or Costco? You may find it there, and much cheaper than elsewhere. You might also check online on Amazon. com. Good luck!
I have found it at my local grocery store where the regular sugar is. My local is Kroger or Super Walmart.
This is so interesting!! How do you make kefir water?
It’s really easy! You get kefir grains (about 3 Tbs) and make a sugar water solution. You can check it out here, http://www.culturesforhealth.com. Takes only 2 days and I make 2 quarts at a time.
Becky, I know you have already been nominated for the versatile blogger award, but I wanted to add your blog to my nominee list anyways. you won’t hurt my feelings if you don’t accept.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate this. I will decline sharing another post and thank you for giving me that out. I hope to get back to posting soon! I hope you have a great day.
